Cycle Actions and Document Status
The users and individuals who comprise the groups required to take action on a repository item respond to the action asked for by cycle they participate in. For example, on Approval cycles users respond with a Yes or No vote. When the minimum number of users in the cycle group that must participate have responded, it has these results:
Review—Signs off on review of the current version of the repository item. During a review cycle, users can add comments, or might add annotations to iGrafx diagrams.
Approve—Approves the current version of the repository item.
Endorse—Certifies understanding of some aspect of the repository item or document contents.
For an Approval Cycle, action status is indicated by a colored circle on the repository item. If an item is rejected, a red circle replaces the yellow circle on an item In-Process in the Repository window. For a table of status indicators, see Approval Status Indicators Reference.
For information on permissions that restrict users so that they may only see approved versions, see Permissions Reference. Restricted repository items without approved versions do not appear in queries or in the Repository tree for these users.
