SAP Procedures and Reference

This section discusses procedures for creating, relating, documenting, and describing SAP enterprise objects with iGrafx® when using the SAP Modeling User Extension. Reference information about what relationships from SAP enterprise objects can be created is also given. Specifically, topics in this section include information on Using SAP Enterprise Objects and on Describing SAP Enterprise Objects, Generating SAP Blueprint Diagrams, and SAP Enterprise Objects Relationships Reference Overview information.

To perform further analysis and reporting on your SAP data, you must have the SAP Architect User Extension, which provides access to iGrafx Enterprise Modeler (with the iGrafx Repository Synchronizer). SAP Architect equips Enterprise Modeler with pre-defined reports to help you understand the impact of SAP processes to the business landscape and organization, including the effect of transactions, processes and SAP systems on operational processes and organizational groups or individuals. You may also highlight opportunities for SAP automation, by reporting on alignment of SAP to Business process landscapes. Enterprise Architect also enables the same enterprise analysis available in Enterprise Modeler.

If you have the iGrafx applications mentioned above, but do not have access, ask your administrator for access. To obtain any of these applications, please contact iGrafx.

Please see Using SAP Enterprise Objects, and the Related Topics referenced below, for more information on creating and using SAP objects with iGrafx.

Features in this section and subsections require the SAP Modeler User Extension for iGrafx client applications, as well as the SAP Platform Extension. See iGrafx SAP Enterprise Objects Overview for an overview and definition of the enterprise objects that can be created or used in iGrafx.

In addition, if you want to create SAP enterprise objects, you must have the permission in the repository to be able to create and view these objects.
