Home > Setup Custom Data dialog box
On the Tools menu, choose Setup Custom Data.
This dialog box contains slightly different controls for Lean value stream map (VSM) data setup; for a VSM, on the Lean menu, choose Setup Lean Data.
Element |
Description |
Custom Data |
Click the New button to add custom data fields to this list. Notes:
|
Lean Types |
This dialog box control is only available for Lean VSM custom data setup. Choose a Lean data element type, or select User-Specified to set a custom data type. |
Type |
Choose a default data type for the selected custom data element. Choose the List data type to define non-numeric custom data type. |
Identity |
Optional string field that will be used when dragging shapes into diagrams from palettes or when copying and pasting shapes between diagrams. iGrafx will match up two fields of the same type and same identity as the same fields, even if their names differ. This can be useful for using multiple languages. We recommend that the names be made "unique" via a scheme such as CompanyName.CustomDataName; e.g. ACME.Runner |
Format |
Expand the field to choose settings for units, fixed decimal places, 1000s separator, and negative number format. If you choose the List data type, click the browse icon to open the Define List dialog box. The Automatic setting for Negative Number lets your operating system specify the negative number format. |
Description |
Content appears in the New Field dialog box description and on the Lean Data element in the Properties dialog box - Lean Data page. The description provides extra context for other users working on this document or template. |
Accumulation Method |
Choose a method to define how data on multiple shapes is combined for the Custom Data Summary Box, Custom Data shown on a Lean Timeline, or for inter-diagram accumulation. Use Converse Product to get 100% - Product for percentages. For example, if the Product of the numbers is 95.1%, the Converse Product is 4.9%. |
Custom Data Block Field |
Show or hide the name and value of entered, calculated, and accumulated data. Name–For every ‘%n’ you select, the name of the custom data element displays once in the data block cell. An example of ‘%n’ is Pieces. Value–For every ‘%v’ you select, the data element displays once in the data block cell. The value of ‘%v’ is calculated, or is the value that you entered in the Properties dialog box - Lean Data page or Properties dialog box - Custom Data page. |
Options |
Specify values of time for data accumulation in the Custom Data Options dialog box. |
Data Sets |
Sets up data view filters in the Setup Custom Data Sets dialog box. |
