Resource Wait Option

Use the Wait option when:

• More than one resource is required (acquired) for the activity, and you want resources to wait around (doing nothing else) until all needed resources are acquired, or

• You want to acquire a resource for multiple activities and ensure that it waits with the transaction as it moves from activity to activity.

When a transaction waits to be processed at an activity, any resources acquired by the transaction can either wait or be temporarily released until other resources required by this activity become available. Temporarily released resources are automatically reacquired for transactions to finish processing.

1. Double-click a shape and click the Resources page on the Properties dialog box.

2. Click the button.

3. Select the resource assignment that you want to specify Wait behavior.

4. Select the Wait check box to set the Wait option, or clear the check box to specify Don’t Wait.

If no resources are specified and you want to specify Wait behavior, click the Add button.
