Most of the procedures below use the Format Diagram dialog box - Process tab or the Format Swimlane dialog box. Right-click the swimlane name area and choose Format Diagram or Format, or click the swimlane name area and, on the Format menu, choose Diagram or Fill.
Modify default swimlanes using these procedures.

Rotate swimlane names

Click the swimlane name area.

On the Format menu, choose Text Alignment and select an orientation in the Format Text dialog box.

Use the Swimlane Manager dialog box to change swimlane orientation. When one or more shapes are added, change swimlane orientation is unavailable.

Change the color of the name area or process area
|

Select the swimlane name area.

On the Format menu, choose Fill.

Click the Process Area tab and select the Same as Name Area check box to fill the entire swimlane with the same color, or clear it to make the name area and process area different.

Click the Name Area tab to make color and fill choices.
You may also use the Fill tab on the Formatting window to choose a color and style, or set a Theme as explained in the iGrafx Tutorials.

Change the color and pattern of a swimlane

In the Format Diagram dialog box, click the Process tab.

Click the Process Fill button.

Change divider lines
|
In the Format Diagram dialog box, click the Borders and Dividers tab. You can change all divider styles at once by selecting all swimlane elements listed.

Change formats on individual pools
|
In the Format Swimlane dialog box, click the Borders and Dividers tab and clear the Use Diagram Styling check box to override diagram formats.

Change swimlane defaults
|

In the Format Diagram dialog box, click the Defaults tab and select Swimlane Names.

Set the fill and font options for all swimlane name areas.

Change a swimlane to a floating swimlane (pool):

Right-click the swimlane name area and choose Format Diagram.

Select the Floating Swimlanes check box on the Format Diagram dialog box - Process tab
You can also change swimlane types in the Swimlane Manager dialog box.
