Change Names of Swimlanes

Swimlane names are case-sensitive and must be named exactly for simulation.

Task

Procedure

Rename a swimlane in the diagram

Click the swimlane name area, and type the new name. You may also select part of the text and replace it with new text.

Rename a swimlane using the dialog box

  1. Right-click on the swimlane name area and choose Rename Swimlane. You could also select the swimlane name area and, on the Arrange menu, point to Swimlanes and choose Rename Swimlane.

  2. In the Rename Swimlane dialog box, enter a new name to create a local swimlane name (a name not included in the enterprise resources) indicated by a local local.bmp icon.

    3. Alternatively, choose an existing swimlane name from the list of all local and global swimlanes at the same level as the swimlane name area selected in the diagram.

  3. Click OK.

Global swimlanes are managed in the repository and are indicated by a global global00001.bmp icon.
