The Allocate Resources dialog box lets you specify how resources will be allocated from other resources for a swimlane or activity.

Description |
| Allocate To | Indicates the resource selected for the allocation—to which the resource selected here will be allocated. |
| Allocation Type | Specifies the Resource Type to be assigned to the allocated resource. The default is Automatic, which allocates a resource of the default type. |
| From | Choose a resource from this expandable list to specify the resource from which resources will be allocated. |
| Indirect Allocation | Choose the Unrestrictedoption to specify that this allocation can use any available resource, or choose Restrict To and select the check boxes corresponding to the resources to which you want to restrict the allocation. |
| Effective Additions | This box lists the resources that are effectively made available by the current allocation settings in the dialog box. |
