Duplicate transactions model work performed simultaneously by different swimlanes or resources. When you manually duplicate transactions:
A copy of each duplicated transaction takes each Normal output path. For example, a count of 2 for an activity with 2 output paths creates 4 total transactions leaving the activity.
All of the transactions are assigned to the same family.
Duplicate transactions have the same attribute assignments as the original transaction, except when you use Duplicate by Member on the Properties dialog box - Task page - On Completion tab.
The new transactions share any resources previously acquired.
Duplicated transactions can be joined back together. Transactions have specific constraints and can be treated as part of a transaction family.
A transaction is automatically duplicated when any activity, other than a decision activity, has more than one output path.
