Edit Shapes in the Shape Library

  1. On the File menu, choose Shape Library.

  2. In the Shape Library dialog box, select the shape you want to edit and click the Edit button.

  3. Choose a task below and follow the procedure.

Edit connect points between shapes

  1. In the Edit Shape Library Item dialog box, click the Symbol button.

  2. In the Edit Symbol dialog box, click the Connect Points tab.

  3. You may now select, add, and delete connect points, or reset them to iGrafx defaults.

Note: When in Select mode, if you hold down the Shift key while moving a connect point around, and Snap to Grid is unchecked, you can drag the connect point anywhere on the line.

Add text layouts to shapes

  1. In the Edit Shape Library Item dialog box, click the Symbol button.

  2. In the Edit Symbol dialog box, click the Text Layout tab.

Add VBA code to shapes

  1. In the Edit Shape Library Item dialog box, click Add VBA.

  2. Add VBA properties, and either close the VBA window or leave it open and return to iGrafx.

Add default properties to shapes

  1. In the Edit Shape Library Item dialog box, click Properties.

  2. In the Format Shape dialog box you can add a start point, set the decision text, and rename a shape.

For Lean, you can set a default Timeline type. For all diagram types, you can set up the default Data Set if defined.

Change default formats and fields on shapes

In the Edit Shape Library Item dialog box, select the ‘Use This Format’ radio button so you can click the appropriate formatting button (e.g. Format, Font, Shadow/3D, Fields) to set formatting or field properties.
