Grid Spacing, Rulers, and Guidelines

Use the View menu to enable or disable most diagram space indicators, such as rulers and page breaks. Guideline commands are on the Arrange menu.

Grids align shapes to a series of snap points on the diagram space. With the Snap to Grid feature enabled, every shape that you move locks on to these points. Grid snapping is turned on by default.

Guidelines work with rulers as a visual marker for arranging shapes on the diagram page. Like grids, you can snap shapes to guidelines. Guidelines do not print.
