A generic term for an individual step in the process, or a shape within a process diagram.
In the context of enterprise objects, a hierarchical ‘child’ of a process object that indicates there is no further functional detail underneath this object; it is currently one of the lowest-level process type objects for the parent process. An analogy is that an activity is to a process as an iGrafx shape is to a diagram.
