The default resource type is designed to automatically choose the appropriate resource type for an Organization represented by a swimlane. The default resource type is visible in the Define Resources dialog box, Allocation tab, Direct subtab, Resource Types field. When more than one resource type is allocated, you can change the default by right-clicking a resource type and choosing Default.
The default resource type is usually Person, unless you allocate another resource type and make it the default.
