Arrange Objects Together

When you select multiple objects to arrange them in relationship to each other on the diagram, the last shape selected is an anchor shape, designated by white-filled handles. Other shapes are aligned with or resized to the same size as the anchor shape.

Shape 3 is the last selected.

Other shapes are aligned to shape 3.

To change the anchor shape, hold the Control (Ctrl) key and click the shape you want to be the anchor to unselect it, then click the shape again to make it the last shape selected and therefore the anchor shape.

Most of the commands for aligning, resizing, spacing, rotating, ordering, and combining objects are also available on the Draw toolbar.
