Indicators

Indicators are icons, text, or styling effects added to shapes indicating special conditions exist. Indicator options apply to all shapes in a diagram.

Task

Procedure

Set or change an indicator

  1. On the Format menu, choose Diagram.

  2. In the Format Diagram dialog box, click the Indicators tab.

  3. Select the check box for the type of the indicator you want to set.

  4. Change indicator, location, and shape settings, and view changes in the preview window.

Change an icon indicator

  1. In the Format diagram dialog box - Indicators tab, select the type of indicator that has an Icon for the specific indicator.

  2. Click the Change button, and select Icon in the list.

  3. In the Change Icon dialog box, either choose a graphic from the clipboard, or select a shape from the shape library or shape palette.

    Note: Before you can choose a graphic from the Clipboard, you must have selected it in a graphics editor such as Microsoft® Paint and used the Copy command to place it on your Clipboard.
